The Best Months for Beach Vacation and Park Visits
March, April, and May is preferred by most tourists for beach and park visits because it’s also during these months when the climate is the most pleasant for outdoor activities. The weather is not too cold and not that hot, just the perfect time of the year to enjoy a tour to Orlando’s beautiful theme parks like Disney, Universal, Discovery Cove, Legoland to name a few.
It is likewise the best month to have all the fun under the not so scorching sun in its many beautiful white sandy beaches like Cocoa Beach, Clearwater, Canaveral, Daytona and so much more.
March to April (Spring Break/High Season)
March is when the weather starts to get warm from the winter with average highs up to 25°C or 77°F and average lows of 12 to 15 °C or 53 to 59 °F.
May is when Orlando starts to get steamy where highs can reach up to 31°C and average lows at 18°C. During these months, light to moderate rainfall can be expected but does not usually last more than an hour. Mostly last for more or less 30 minutes.
The most tropical weather is during the steamy summer months (June through August). Mornings are usually sunny and hot, with clouds cropping up in the early afternoon and brief but powerful thunderstorms by the mid-afternoon.
Fortunately, Orlando is home to four of the nation’s most popular water parks, so beating the summer heat is never a big deal. You can head over to Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach at Walt Disney World, Wet ‘n Wild on International Drive, or the magnificent SeaWorld’s water park Aquatica. Cocoa Beach is a popular destination for Orlando residents and visitors and is only a few minutes away from Kennedy Space Center.
Although the hurricane season is officially June 1 through November 30, the peak season for tropical weather in August and September.
Best Months to Visit Orlando to Avoid the Heat Crowds
If large crowds and the warm weather is a turn-off, not to mention the higher prices on travel and hotel prices, the very long and sweaty waiting in line for the rides and show tickets, crowded restaurants and so much more, the Low Season is traditionally the months of May, September, November through early December, and January after the holiday crowds have gone home. (sorry for the very long line here)
If you want an absolutely cool holiday in Orlando, the temperatures are at their chilliest in December and January, which might be a big deal for Floridians, but northern visitors will find Florida’s winter weather to be comparatively balmy (but bring a jacket anyway).
In between the high and low seasons are the times of year that are known as the “shoulder seasons”—February, late May to mid-June, mid-to-late August, and October.

Best Month for the Best Scary Fun Experience in Orlando
October is a particularly fun time of the year because Universal hosts its Halloween Horror Nights (which is definitely not for the little ones) and Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom hosts Mickey’s Not so Scary Halloween which is geared for young children.
October weather in Florida is similar to mid-summer weather “Up North,” making it an ideal month to enjoy pleasant temperatures, fewer tropical disturbances, and lighter crowds. The only downside is the possibility of having to take the kids out of school for a few days to have a vacation.
Visiting Orlando On a Tight Budget?
If you don’t have that much luxury to spend on your vacation, do note, Orlando’s high seasons:
- March through April (spring break)
- June through August (summer break)
- Mid-December through early January (winter break)
But no matter what month you choose to travel to Orlando Florida, you will always find excellent deals at affordable prices( for the budget tight) in Orlando hotels, any time of the year.
Above all, it’s the amazing Orlando experience that one can not consider Timeless…
